Les first went to 40 Infantry Div in Hong-Kong, followed by the Hong Kong Provost Company, being attached for Two Years to 48 Gurkha Infantry Brigade at SEK - KONG in the New Territories. Les (19) as left hand marker at the Brigade Inspection.
On leaving the Army, we find LES joining Birmingham City Police where he served as P.C.'B' 137 for 4.1/2 yrs followed by 5. 1/2 yrs in the CID before leaving to persue a living in agriculture.
