Death of Serving Soldiers

  

The Rifles ( 3 RIFLES )

It is with great sadness that the Ministry Of Defence must announce that a soldier from the 3rd Battalion, The Rifles (3RIFLES) was killed on the morning of Tuesday 2nd March, 2010 as a result of small arms fire near Sangin in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

It is with great sadness that the Ministry of Defence must announce that a soldier from the 3rd Battalion, The Rifles (3 RIFLES) was killed whilst on foot patrol on the morning of Friday 5th March, 2010,  by an explosion near Sangin in Helmand Province.

It is with great sadness that the Ministry of Defence must announce that a soldier from the 3rd Battalion, The Rifles  (3 RIFLES) had been killed in Afghanistan this morning Saturday 6th March 2010. The soldier died after being wounded by small arms fire in Sangin, Helmand Province

The Rifles  (4 RIFLES)

It is with great sadness, the Ministry of Defence must announce that a British soldier was killed in Southern Afghanistan.  The soldier from 'A' Company 4 Rifles, part of the 3 Rifles Battle Group, died in an attack on his patrol base near Sangin, in Helmand Province on Sunday morning 7th March 2010

It is with great sadness, that the Ministry of Defence must announce that a soldier from 1 Rifles serving with 3 Rifles Battle Group was killed on Sunday afternoon the 7th March 2010 by an explosion whilst on foot patrol in the Sangin area of Helmand Province.
